Harold Budd & Clive Wright - Little Windows

is with the launch of Little Windows when the composer Harold Budd and guitarist Clive Wright completed his triptych of albums that began in 2008 with Song for Lost Blossoms and Candylion. Although Budd announced a few years ago he was thinking of retiring, saying he had accomplished all he set out to do musically, this sudden influx of collaborations with Wright seems to say he was joking. Whatever the circumstances, Budd and Wright feel like two peas in a pod, summoning sounds stretching out of nowhere and creating with them a fluffy atmosphere. Little Windows is in turn austere, ornate, and always harmonious. But for all that has in its favor, the album gets to a point of concern, does not give you that "a-ha!" the time in which the subtle nuances in turn fall under the magic. They call it music for retirees who still want to work.
