Elbow Is Swollen And Hot

Corey Harris - Zion Crossroads

Corey Harris continues his ambitious exploration of musical history Zion Crossroads, a project where Harris is immersed in the rhythms and awareness of the roots of traditional reggae.
Unlike his earlier work, Harris, however, mixing country blues with jazz, American, and styles Africa, near Zion Crossroads gender hits, walks in deep rhythms in a manner reminiscent of Burning Spear and Black Uhuru. The exceptions are the two songs with an African rhythm "Walter Rodney" and the country song "Plantation Town". The overall result is a satisfying album, driven by increased political awareness that will appeal to fans of Harris, as well as fans of classic roots reggae.
